Our Story

Built for work you cannot buy off the shelf

Stärk Stahl is a family-run manufacturer based in Booysens, Johannesburg.
Since 2016, we have built the business around one simple principle:

Do custom work properly.

That means understanding the requirement before production begins, confirming what has been approved, controlling the build through every stage and delivering a finished result that reflects the original specification.
Our customers come to us when a standard, off-the-shelf solution is not enough.
It may be an electrical panel that has to fit a very specific installation, a fabricated structure designed around existing equipment, a repeat production component that must remain consistent across thousands of units, or a complete electrical and steel package that needs one accountable team behind it.
Whatever the project, our job is to protect the specification from the first conversation to final delivery.

We’ve invested in the design, the machinery and the finish so that ‘custom’ never means ‘compromise’.

Together, they lead a team of approximately 30 people with more than 60 years of combined experience.

There is no long management chain between the customer, the workshop and the people responsible for the result.

The owners remain close to the work — involved in the operation, available to customers and accountable for what leaves the floor.

Because when a project is custom, someone has to own every detail.

Ten years of work that had to be exact

2016

Where it started

Stärk Stahl opens its doors in Johannesburg, building its reputation through precision shopfitting and custom metalwork.

2022

A sharper manufacturing focus

The business develops further into engineered manufacturing, with increasing focus on electrical panels, enclosures, precision sheet metal and structural steel.

2023

Stronger systems

Investment continues in CAD, job tracking, quality assurance and service processes to support more complex work and greater production control.

2025

More capability in-house

The team grows to approximately 30 people, with the manufacturing chain increasingly controlled internally — from cutting and forming through to welding, assembly and finishing.

2026

From idea to installed

Stärk Stahl operates as a design-to-delivery manufacturer, bringing the project journey together under one team — from the first concept through to the finished and installed unit.
